Chapter 2 - Whispering Silence - Perspective

We often imagine that peace means everything around us has finally become quiet. But life doesn't really work that way. People keep talking. Notifications keep arriving. Responsibilities remain. There will always be something asking for our attention. Perspective explores another possibility. The eagle sits high among the pine trees while life continues below. The world hasn't changed. There is still movement, sound and activity. What has changed is its relationship to the noise. Sometimes peace isn't found by escaping everything that disturbs us. It comes from understanding what deserves our attention — and what we can allow to pass without consuming us. The circumstances may remain the same, but our relationship with them can change. And sometimes, even while life continues around us, none of the noise reaches us in quite the same way.
