After the Rain

A delicate water lily rises from deep, shadowed water, surrounded by leaves holding tiny drops of rain.
The contrast between the luminous pink bloom and the dark background gives this painting a quiet,
intimate quality—like a small moment of beauty noticed after the world has gone still.
