The Journey From Doodles to Tigers — Finding My Artistic Voice

When people ask me how I became a wildlife artist, I don’t have a one-line answer.
Because the truth is — it wasn’t a leap. It was a long, winding walk.

I didn’t begin with tigers.
I began with mandala & doodles.
Back in my IT days, I found myself sketching just to breathe. Mandalas, tiny patterns — structured, quiet, grounding.
Then came watercolor. The unpredictability of it. The softness. It felt like the opposite of structure — and I fell in love with that chaos.

Later, I started teaching. And through teaching, I learned more about what truly lit me up.
Then came the animals.

Each one felt like it had something to say.
They weren’t just subjects — they were mirrors.
At first, it was small birds — quiet, colorful, approachable.
But over time, I found myself drawn to big cats. Powerful, majestic, still.

I didn’t plan to become a wildlife artist.
But the journey makes sense now.
Every stage of my art evolution — from mandalas to wildlife to expressive abstracts — has been part of finding my voice.
